Organized Transportation Chaos
On a recent trip to Uganda, I visited Kampala’s Old Taxi Park and witnessed this amazing sight of organized transportation chaos. The taxi park hosts the commuter taxis (mini-vans that hold 12-15 people) that operate in the Kampala Metropolitan area and other routes around the country. There are plans to construct a new, multi-level parking building. More efficient perhaps, but without some of the charm I’m sure. - Daniel Findley, DTC Civil Transportation Instructor
